The USRA May Event is a unique opportunity to utilize the resources of the Shoe Industry's strongest Independent Retailers & Vendors. It creates and strengthens Partnerships so vital in the shoe industry today. The May Event is the place to brainstorm, share ideas, problem solve and offer support & guidance to one another. It is a place where all walls are dropped and we become one industry working together for a common cause -- keeping the Independent Shoe Retailer alive and growing.

The USRA believes this Event is extremely important for Retailers. Not only does it offer educational seminars, but it also gives attendees the opportunity to network with other Retailers and Vendors. Networking takes place on the golf course, during meals, cocktail parties and evening entertainment. In addition, Vendors display their shoes throughout the entire three days, giving Retailers a chance to look at the lines in a very relaxed atmosphere. Retail attendees truly appreciate the Vendors who are there supporting the Retailers. There is a special connection, a loyalty, made at this Event. Retailers have the opportunity to see many Vendors they may not see at the shows and vice-versa. Due to the unique environment of the May Event, attendees find themselves doing business without even realizing it. Another win/win benefit is the orders written during this Event. Because many Vendors offer discounts on orders given during the 3 days, Retail Attendees save a lot of money. Many Vendors find that they receive more actual orders at the May Event than they do at many other shows and conferences they attend. As you can see, this Event is not only extremely important for Retailers, but is beneficial to the Vendors as well. Selling shoes is not the focus of the Event, it is a bonus!

If you've never personally attended this Event, we urge you to try to attend this year. The USRA May Event is a very unique and beneficial Event. It is the only one like it within the shoe industry. Until you have actually attended this amazing Event, you cannot understand the incredible benefits it has to offer. The networking and connections made there cannot be compared -- It is an Event not to be missed!!
